German has walked lily since I adopted her, 3 years ago, at 2.5 years old, and with no training or dog socialisation. He brought structure to her through his walks, gave her some of her first pack experiences and has built a strong bond with her. More recently we have worked on training her together. He’s helped me to be more comfortable with her playing with other dogs, and through consistency and daily habit forming has helped me to work on some of Lily’s most stubborn behaviours, like pulling on the leash, lunging at pigeons, and eating anything and everything the tasty streets of New York have to offer. With his guidance, I have developed new daily habits integrated into Lily’s routine, that reinforce core obedience, like starting walks with a game of tug of war to practice “drop it” before leaving the house, or having her repeat, “down”, “stay” and “come” when we get outside so she is focussed and taking her cues from me. I would highly recommend German for dog walking and training. He has a natural talent for working with dogs, is responsive to our specific training needs, and has tailored his support to address those challenges. All of which is leading to great progress!
After we used the Balanced Dogs Board and Train service for our 4 month old puppy, people have not stopped exclaiming about how well behaved our dog is! After just two weeks, she was incredibly solid on the basics (sit/stay/down), as well as “look”, “drop it” and “place.” She was also housebroken! German placed customer satisfaction first. Throughout the Board and Train, German sent daily pictures, videos and written updates. During the days after the Board and Train, German was eager to answer our questions with an eye towards fine tuning the training. This customized approach set us up for continued success. We very highly recommend the service for puppies as well as owners looking to target particular behaviors.
